CBT (Cross border trading)

Since 2015, oversea companies (non-Japanese companies without Japanese entity) can sell on Rakuten Ichiba by signing up through a third party agent. Basically, the third party will run the store account under the third party’s name, but the storefront can be made to fit the overseas company’s needs.

The third party can also help with translation, store operation, and customer services.
